COMMITTEE UPDATE

13th February 2019

FAO: Parents/Carers/Players of Stamford Bridge Football Club

Dear All

We write to put on record that in respect of the Stamford Bridge Football Club U11’s Girls team Nik Shaw is the sole manager and coach of this team for both match-days and training sessions.

Nik has all the relevant mandatory qualifications required by the Football Association to allow his involvement with junior members of our club; namely his enhanced CRC (criminal record check) and Safeguarding Qualifications are both up to date.

In addition, Nik took the decision himself to go beyond the minimum mandatory qualifications as set out by the Football Association and is a Level one coach, has completed the F.A. First Aid training and is also an F.A. Licensed Coach Member.

As a Charter Standard Community Football Club we are regularly assessed by East Riding Football Association in respect of their ‘health check’ criteria ensuring we have a clear safeguarding strategy; this is done on an annual basis at least.

For Stamford Bridge Football Club to maintain the pinnacle accolade in amateur football, which is the aforementioned Community Club status, each of our junior teams must have at least one coach who is fully qualified with an in-date CRC, Safeguarding, First Aid and at least a Level one F.A. qualified coach.

For the 2018/19 season we are pleased to advise this is the case for all of our teams. In fact we have coaches who have gone further and are now qualified to Level 2 and we are also extremely lucky to have one coach who is at Level 3, otherwise known as a UEFA B Licensed coach.

A great club like ours, made up of volunteers has a mixture of all the following ingredients; brilliant children and players, amazing support from parents and carers, caring coaches who dare to bring out the very best in the players and finally a supportive committee who oversee the ongoing day to day management and longer term development of the club.

We constantly demand that we not only maintain the high standards we have come to expect from everyone associated with the club, but we are a committee who challenge each other to drive the club forward and ensure that we can all look back and be proud of what we stand for and the ongoing facility developments.

Should anyone have any queries in relation to our club, or this communication as a whole, feel free to contact us via the “get in touch” facility at www.stamfordbridgefootballclub.co.uk

Yours sincerely
