DEEPEST CONDOLENCES

It is with our deepest sympathies from everyone associated with Stamford Bridge Football Club we regret to share with you all the passing of Connor Emery. Connor passed away on Monday night from injuries sustained in a road traffic accident. Our immediate thoughts go out to Connor's family and friends at this difficult time.

Connor played for Stamford Bridge from U7s to U16s as part of Jeremy Bent's team. He collected the long service award in 2018 in recognition of his outstanding commitment and dedication to his team and teammates.

Jeremy Bent, Connor's team manager comments, "every team, and especially a village team like ours, needs a Connor. Not a star player but reliable, keen and just happy to be involved. A manager's dream, he would play any position asked, without question, giving you his very best.

In our last game at U16s we were lucky to be only 1-0 down at half time. It was Connor's goal line clearance early in the second half that started a great comeback, ending in a 5-1 victory! He will be so sadly missed by us all"

Deepest condolences from all at the Football Club. Connor you remain a Battle Axe. RIP.
